Hinged Garnet Silver Bracelet

Hinged Garnet Silver Bracelet - an attractive silver bracelet set with 36 faceted circular deep red garnets, which are set in 2s, each double being  separated by a hinge, making 17 hinges in total. The bracelet is finished with an interlinked, extendable, silver chain which is closed by  lobster clasp.

Designer: Claire Hartley, who worked in a studio overlooking the sea on an island off the West coast of Scotland. Claire has always selected quality precious and semi-precious gemstones, which have been carefully cut and made into exquisite pieces of jewellery.

Garnet is the birthstone for January. Its name comes from the Latin word "Garanatus," meaning 'seedlike', referring to the pomegranate. 
The garnet has been valued as a gemstone throughout history. The myths and legends across many civilisations surrounding the Garnet, including stories relating to the Romans, Egyptians, Aztecs and even British royalty, have the common theme of the Garnet as the ultimate gift of love.
